It’s no coincidence that it’s international women’s day however, I like picking people’s brains and asking questions that are helpful not only to me but others as well. This week is DJ Sarcastic, a DJ and model, with these three questions they,re simple but deep
1) What is the best technical advice can you give to someone starting out?
2) What things inspire your process?
3) Who are three people you look up to that inspired you?
The best advice I can give you guys is that as a inspiring DJ you should focus on bettering your craft and network in the process. Don’t be afraid to throw yourself out there, there’s a lot of trail and error but if you’re in love with the craft you’ll keep going.
The three people that I look up to is my friends DJ Swiss and Oliver Twist and a few radio DJs, I was really inspired by grand master flash. Hearing how they play made me fall in love with the craft and I felt like hey I have good taste in music and I feel like I can do this too!
What inspired me in the process is seeing how much people genuinely like my energy when I play at clubs. Seeing how wild the crowd gets makes me so happy inside. Music is EVERYTHING. I love seeing how it changes our mood and makes us forget about our problems for a bit.
Also just practicing and getting better inspires me to keep going! My fans keep me going! Music.. keeps me going
You can accomplish anything you put your mind to. If you’re passionate about something work on it and don’t let anyone stop you. You can only stop yourself by self doubt
