LIKE PICKING PEOPLE’S BRAINS AND ASKING QUESTIONS THAT ARE HELPFUL NOT ONLY TO ME BUT OTHERS AS WELL.

This week is Jerrod Mims classmate in education (Interdisciplinary Studies) at PVAMU, a friend, and a fellow aspiring filmmaker & editor.

WITH THESE THREE QUESTIONS THEY’RE SIMPLE BUT DEEP.

THE PLAN IS TO DO THIS EVERY FRIDAY

  1. What is the best advice you can give to someone starting out?

The advice I’d give to anyone just starting out is don’t be afraid to fail, have fun with your journey, and always keep the camera rolling. B-roll equals greatness.

2. What things inspire your process?

Personally music inspires my process. The way certain tracks sound give me an idea of how I want to present a visual to my audience. Another thing that inspires my process is watching other videographers and seeing how they put together pieces of footage.

3. Who are three people you look up to that inspired you?

The three people I look up to are

  • Micheal Artist- he’s a great personality in the video game who’s looking to expand his talents to different ventures while allowing his platform to be his jumping off point

  • Dane Decuire- he’s the owner of an advertising and marketing firm and also a fellow classmate. His resolve and business savvy have proven to be outstanding and show leadership

  • Henry Darnell- another classmate of mine who has continuously put in time and effort into developing his craft and giving others an opportunity to display their talents at the same time. A true selfless individual who is great at what he does.
